After I install Firefox, and atempt to launch Firefox, I get a "box" that reads in effect: no XBL binding for this (Firefox) browser. I have researched Mr. Gates "Knowledge" bank and can not find the problem. I had used Firefox prior and realy like the smooth operation. Help Please.

I'm glad you have a space for opinion & comments.
really i'm having a hard time with this navigator. I was using explorer before and I'm not used to vocabulary and choices of what i'm suppose to put in for basic use & maintenance & create. I suppose it's a question of practice and familiarity. HOWEVER, I don't think I can ever get used to having a lizard/crocodile/gecko on my computer (same as bugs actually) AND i haven't found another icon logo to substitute from your choices. The bird is neat (if I don't refer to Hitchcock of course) yet an embryon is is about just as APPEALING to look at as the gecko. Flowers grow everywhere though fragile and of different varieties but HOW ABOUT colorful FLOWER logos to decorate the desktop. re: #12 - if you can get hold of the firefox icon and send it in (click submissions on left of this page), I'll be able to package it up. Otherwise just save it into chrome/icons/default as 'main-window.ico' and 'default.ico'. But obviously it'd be good to have a quick fix on here.

You recommend IconMaker to convert icon formats, and stat e that IconMaker is not free. It is no longer freeware, but costs $29.

In Windows, this would go in C:Program filesmozilla firefoxchromeiconsdefaultre: comment #43 - which specific icon pack is bringing up this error message? I can then check if the file is corrupt or if there's some other problem.

Win XP/Firefox 2.0.0.x)
I'm running two profiles simultaneously (using the ENV variable MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1).It would be "nice" to see a slightly different icon in the taskbar for easier identification of which is which.
The "obvious" answer is to make a copy of the original firefox.exe", hack the icon with resource hacker and then run that program when using the alternate profile.
Is this the only/simplest answer?
I was hoping to find a config tweak somewhere ... to avoid the ResHack approach and the need to redo every time a new security release in the 2.0 series comes out :-)Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 - [50] Submitted by: - on Sunday 5th August 2007 at 09:25 -0700

re: comment #49
From what I can see in the documentation on mozilla.org , icon packs are not profile-specific but rather global. (see http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/tips#app_icon) so the reshacker method does seem to be the only way.
However, with running two profiles simultaneously, you may be able to do it more easily using the -no-remote parameter. (see http://lifehacker.com/software/firefox/geek-to-live--manage-multiple-firefox-profiles-231646.php)
Hope this helps.

To add an icon to your website place this between the tags:<head></head><link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://yourwebsite/favicon.ico">
and have an icon in the root of your website called favicon.ico

re: comments #58 / #59, There is a Thunderbird add-on called Buttons! which lets you add additional functions to the toolbar, but it doesn't seem to have a close feature (search Google for 'Thunderbird Buttons!'). Alternatively, perhaps look into getting a different Windows theme with a much larger window titlebar/close icon? That way you'd have a larger close icon for all applications. Even easier, just press Alt+F4.

I'm looking for the icon for an HTML page that was used by the Mozilla Suite before it became SeaMonkey. It is a page with the top-right corner turned down and a background color that is sort of peach. A small, red Mozilla head is facing left in the upper half of the page, positioned slightly left so that the snout extends slightly beyond the page. I would appreciate it either as an .ico file or embedded within a .dll file.
