I don't pretend to know the mechanics behind it, but I have set up this icon pack on almost a dozen machines now and I have noticed that on *Some* machines, the icons don't actually start to "show up" for a little while.
So don't be "Scurred" if they don't take effect right away.Firefox rocks!
(Now if we can just get the whole Yahoo Mail thing going....)

re: comment #11 and #12
You have to be using mozilla or firefox before you can install the icon pack. Also, javascript and software installations have to be enabled. Please check the faq (link on the top left of this page) for more information.

I am a computer specialist and for this reason I always read the FAQ. I use firefox, javasctipt is enabled and software installation is enabled too. I have more than a dozen extensions installed. But this extension didnt work on my PC on work, on my PC at home or at the PC of my uncle.
My home PC has another problem. If I click, the installation start. Then it disappears. Nothing changed; the icon pack didnt work.
So I try to find a page where I can download this icon pack. I find one. I download it. AND IT WORKS PERFECT! The problem is this site, not the configuration of my firefox.
I ask two friends of mine - they cant install it two with a clean installation of firefox. I guess you would help people if you show them a download site; this installation link doesnt work. :(
ciao

re: comment #14 - hello, could you please let me know which page let you download this icon pack (e-mail the link to iconpacks-submits@NOSPAMmozdev.org - remove NOSPAM), as this notes thing won't print links. Then I can fix this problem. Thanks!

I have been looking for a new icon for Internet Explorer. Right now I am using Mozilla Firefox 1.06, and I want to keep my family from using Internet Explorer, but they always forget. (Im using the Aston Desktop Shell), so I want to have an extra large icon, like I already downloaded for Firefox. And then I was planning on putting a larger X through it, like a no smoking sign, but I am yet to find an enlarger IE icon that is already transparent and ready for use. Any help? My email is: joshua.english |AT|gmail|DOT|com (@gmail.com), just put that &x+£%$to keep my email away from the bots.
